THE CORRUPTIVE DOGMA OF BUSINESS
Control is an inherent and prime aspect in the formula for conducting business. It overrides any human consideration. If there is a company that treats its employees differently ... "it makes front page news." That recently occurred. Two Japanese owners of an electronic firm rewarded their employees for being a substantial component in the successful sale of the company. Newscasters reporting the story on TV were flabbergasted by the owners generosity and visibly showed it. Our government, hopelessly ensnared in the "tentacles of corporate power" has adopted corporates inhumane perspective. One effective tool of management -- spin and doublespeak -- is now an "imbedded tool" which our government uses. They have become virtuosos in the art of mangling our language. Every time they play a new tune before us its not the one they will record. How empty-headed can they be? Wont they understand that by now "we understand"? Place a person speaking one language into a culture speaking another and before long the gibberish will be decipherable. Americans are now quite capable of understanding the "lingo of power" ... almost as quickly as they reinvent it. "Power" must be made to realize they have lost all credence. We have learned to play the recording backwards. Regardless of what superficial entity now pretends to be government, it is "power above" that maintains a vice-like grip on whoever occupies the offices of our government. Everyone will eventually be wheedled into following the dogma of power, or suffer the consequences. Surely by now we are all aware that power has a substantial investment in both major parties. Surely by now, we have come to realize it is capable of controlling one or the other. Actually, it is becoming more difficult to separate one from the other. When referring to government, corporate, power, it becomes fatiguing to truly separate one from the other. Though they occupy different levels on the organizational chart, they function as a unit, compelled to adhere to the rules and agenda of controlling purpose and we are catching on. As technology shrinks the world, the flow of information (once a major bottleneck) is now moving smoothly and instantly. Equally significant, money manipulations of power can move with the speed of lightning, and are just as difficult to discipline. Long gone are the cumbersome days when a courier transported crucial information. Long gone are the days of transporting wealth, never assured it will arrive at its intended designation. It would appear, with all the technological advances power is using to put a lock on their control, we will forever remain the vanquished. This need not be the case. The very tools of power are actually a double edged sword that inevitably will be demonstrated to have the capacity for cutting both ways. Mounting evidence exists today. The data-bases of government, corporate and the FBI, to name a few have been entered, expunged, and infected. Before we advance further, the following should be helpful illustrations of the rules, the cornerstones of organizational dogma. PROFIT Absolutely nothing must be allowed to stand in the way of profit. The actions of a corporation to achieve that profit will supersede any right of citizens connected to the domain it operates in. Once upon a time, as directed by our laws, this was not supposed to happen. GROWTH Different from a mom and pop operation, where big enough can be a personal decision, corporate ties to banks, the stock market and its shareholders demands growth never cease. This is another dogma that supersedes the citizenry in its domain. This was not supposed to happen. MORALITY Let an executive dare to formulate policy or action based on morality and you will see a downsized artifact covered with a pink slip. Oil spills contaminate our shores, flowing from cheaply built tankers. A double hull would be one means to consider in limiting the catastrophe, but it costs much more. Cut the forests down, displace and assure extinction of all manners of life ... this reprehensible conduct will always exist within the dogma of corporate. FIGHTING INSTINCT Corporate is always engaged in competition, from within its own ranks and outside opponents. To be number one in market share, dominates every action. Those employed in the corporation, who let anything get in the way of that target ... will also wear a pink slip. Competition within is just as ruthless and immoral for those wishing to climb the ladder to the board room. CHAIN OF COMMAND No matter how complicated the organizational chart might appear (appropriately or purposely deceptive) it always flows from the power at the top to the disconnected at the bottom. There is no we the people concept; we have become those the disposable. I dare any citizen to make sense of our governments organizational chart. The description given to an individuals function and true purpose gets cloaked in subterfuge and unfathomable purpose. The government our society formed specifically limited its power for good reason. Now! before our eyes, or more apropos, behind our backs the organization meant to serve us now dictates to us. Though our government was developed by the honest, the honest were replaced by the shrewd. The shrewd became powerful. We, the trusting people, became entrapped. Never! was this state of affairs supposed to develop. Laws were once in place to absolutely prevent it. Did we the people change them? ILLUSION Corporations exist beyond the bounds of living beings. Though by conveniently altered law, they are likened to humanity, that likeness exists only for their advantage; its only a paper dream. While the real papers grow musty in some out of sight archive to conceal any smidgen of argument that might alter their agendas, circumventing even advantageous so called legal alterations, remains top priority and has become all too easy. With an army of opportunistic plotters taking advantage of every legal escape hole any vestige of morality flies out the window. They feel perfectly at home as they go about their business of lying, cheating, and stealing our future. With todays technology, when they cannot evade what little control remains over them; they circumvent it with ease. As they make mistakes and are periodically caught with their hands in the cookie jar, its no big deal. Somewhere, somehow one of the indentured government elite will suppress the furor. Because todays technology allows them to position their operations anywhere in the world, specific domain becomes an illusion but nevertheless, an illusion that is hard to pin down and subject to a nations laws. They have deposited a mechanism for control in every worthwhile nook and cranny of the globe. CONTROLLED CONFORMITY Corporate overrides attitude in the workplace, regardless of the cause. workers must conform even at the expense of possibly doing good for corporates cause. Most everyone is aware of the warning one worker has given to another, "Keep it to yourself; it will only get you in trouble." This is the part of the work force (the disposable ones) who are becoming more disposable than ever. Having altered workers attitudes, by eliminating a substantial amount of customary job opportunities, and turning them into obedient "Push Hamburger Drones," power has advanced and is vying for much more ambitious undertakings. Having effectively accumulated significant control over government, law, money, media and, most dreadful, "the lives of societies wage earners," what capabilities will come to light next? Through the use of satellite dishes, tv penetration into every remote village and hamlet, every different culture, is spewing forth the disastrous propaganda of power. For the most part, this communication barrage is funded by the World Bank, International Monetary Fund, U.S. Agency for International Development, Inter American Bank, Asian American Bank (all of which cater to multinational corporate enterprise). Can this encircling dogma of power capture the world? Not if history runs true to form. A couple of centuries ago the colonists proved history is still true to form. We did it then and we can do it today. The prime tool of revolution is no longer exclusively powers. We can chip away at them with our own "Chip." As I work my way through this book, the Internet is exploding with confrontational information attacking power. Our chip is starting to defy their chip. Its only the beginning.
